Athena Binikos-Brom 

Athena Binikos-Brom, the founder of Mirador Resources, LLC, boasts over 25 years of dynamic education experience. Her unwavering passion for problem-solving and providing exceptional support to educational teams, schools, and institutions nationwide drives her work. Rooted in compliance and adept at root cause analysis, Athena brings a wealth of expertise to the field.

A graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in English Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Athena’s career spans both public and private sectors, encompassing roles such as classroom teacher, mentor/coach, compliance specialist, and various leadership positions across multiple states. She currently serves as a director with a national non-profit and has held the position of executive coach for a private organization. Certified in Educational Leadership (Secondary), English 6-12, Varying Exceptionalities (EC) K-12, Reading, and Preschool Birth-4 in both Florida and North Carolina, Athena’s extensive background and unwavering commitment make her a driving force in the field of educational consulting.

Dr. Charlene Carlberg-Stewart

With a remarkable 30-year career in education, Dr. Charlene Carlberg-Stewart, affectionately known as “Dr. Char,” is a highly experienced educational consultant. Originally from Illinois and now residing in Florida with her blended family, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Specific Learning Disabilities and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. Her doctoral research at Northcentral University focused on the effect of a district-wide curriculum initiative to close achievement gaps. Dr. Char is certified in Reading (K-12), Mathematics (6-12), English (6-12), Exceptional Student Education, and Educational Leadership, and she is also a certified Improvement Science coach, enabling her to bridge theory and practical application to accelerate student achievement.

Dr. Char’s educational journey began as a teacher and assistant principal in Pasco County, Florida, where she devoted 22 years to shaping young minds and educational environments. Over the past eight years, she has taken on roles such as an executive coach, regional vice president, and leadership development coordinator for a prominent national organization. Driven by her unwavering commitment to educational equity and access, she brings her dedication to building instructional capacity and a passion for reading and writing to her work with Mirador.
