Athena Binikos-Brom 

Athena Binikos-Brom, the founder of Mirador Resources, LLC, boasts over 30 years of dynamic education experience. Her unwavering passion for problem-solving and providing exceptional support to educational teams, schools, and institutions nationwide drives her work. Rooted in compliance and adept at root cause analysis, Athena brings a wealth of expertise to the field.

A graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in English Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Athena’s career spans both public and private sectors, encompassing roles such as classroom teacher, mentor/coach, compliance specialist, and various leadership positions across multiple states. She currently serves as a director with a national non-profit and has held the position of executive coach for a private organization. Certified in Educational Leadership (Secondary), English 6-12, Varying Exceptionalities (EC) K-12, Reading, and Preschool Birth-4 in both Florida and North Carolina, Athena’s extensive background and unwavering commitment make her a driving force in the field of educational consulting.

Dr. Charlene Carlberg-Stewart

Dr. Charlene Carlberg-Stewart is a results-driven educational leader and Structured Literacy Specialist with over 30 years of experience transforming classrooms and school systems. Her mission is clear: build educator capacity, improve instructional practice, and accelerate student achievement—especially in early literacy.

Charlene coaches school leaders and teachers to implement effective, high-impact ELA instructional blocks that accelerate student growth in both reading and writing. She expertly merges the science of reading and learning with curriculum and assessment, ensuring instructional practices are not only evidence-based but also actionable and aligned.

In her most recent role, Charlene led a districtwide K–2 coaching initiative spanning 28 elementary schools and 4,548 students. The results spoke volumes:

  • 📈 Kindergarten DIBELS scores rose from 39% at BOY to 69% at EOY
  • 📈 1st grade improved from 57% to 74%
  • 📈 2nd grade grew from 59% to 71%

These gains were achieved through strategic instructional coaching, leadership development, and a relentless focus on data-driven improvement.

Charlene holds a Doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor’s in Specific Learning Disabilities. As a Certified Improvement Science Coach, she specializes in leading systems-level change by strengthening the leadership capacity of principals, instructional coaches, and teacher teams.

Her core belief? Equity begins with access to excellent instruction.
